Research study seeking input from parents/guardians on their own and their children’s experiences during school closures due to COVID-19
University of Manitoba Research Study on Canadian Parents’/Guardians’ Perspectives about the Impact of COVID-19 School Closures on Students with Special Educational Needs
Nadine Bartlett.Ph.D. is an Assistant Professor in the Faculty of Education at the University of Manitoba who is seeking feedback from parents’/guardians’ about childrens’/youth’s experiences, and their experiences as a parent/guardian, during school closures due to COVID-19
This research about Canadian parents’/guardians’ perspectives on the impact of COVID-19 school closures on students with special educational needs will explore the strategies and supports that are effectively meeting students’ and parents’ needs, and the strategies and supports that require improvement. The purpose of obtaining this information is to inform improvements in the provision of support.
Parents/Guardians are invited to complete an anonymous online survey that will take approximately 15-20 minutes. Participation in the survey is completely voluntary, and parents may opt out of any question in the survey, or discontinue their participation at any point prior to selecting “Finish” at the end of the survey.
