Parent Conference and Webcast
Easter Seals, in partnership with Three to Be Foundation and Children’s Treatment Network, has obtained a PRO Grant for a parent conference. The Keys to Special Education conference will be held in King City on April 9th . While some of the sessions are focussed on issues that may be more relevant for students with physical disabilities (Accessibility, AAC, Assistive Technology, Therapy at home and school) many of the sessions deal with common issues such as advocacy at school and developing effective IEPs. Louise Sirisko, Director of Special Education Policy and Programs Branch is the keynote speaker.

- Lynn Ziraldo, Executive Director, Learning Disabilities Association of York Region

- Occupational Therapists, Speech-Language Pathologists, representatives from school boards, parents and young adults with disabilities.
Webcasts
The keynote speaker, Louise Sirisko, and three workshop sessions will be webcast live on April 9th and available for viewing after the event. The workshop sessions to be webcast will be selected based on number of participants registered for each session.
