Workshop Description: This workshop will look at some essential skills to successful parent advocacy. It will touch on events that trigger crisis and obstacles to success in parent’s advocacy efforts.
Attendees will walk away with a better understanding of:
- Their personal advocacy skills strengths and weaknesses
- How to communicate more effectively
- How to recognize and navigate different personality types including their own
- Dealing with the emotion of anger and its impact on advocacy success
