Come join our Peer Support Network and meet other parents on a similar journey to yours. LDAWC peer support network’s goal is to provide an informal setting to share experiences, challenges, successes and resources. Living, learning and/or working with a LD, or supporting a family member with LD, has its ups and downs. Come learn from others.

In this workshop we will discuss why children with LDs and/or ADHD are at risk for experiencing social challenges with their peers. Participants will explore what skills are needed in order to be socially competent and successful in everyday life. Strategies on how to understand and support social competence will be shared.

This FREE event is intended for parents and caregivers of children with learning disabilities. The focus is providing parents with tools and strategies to aid them in supporting their children.

These informative workshops will provide a broad overview for parents looking to receive information and support.

This workshop provides participants with an understanding of the nature of executive functioning (higher order thinking skills including planning, organization, and flexibility) for children with LDs and/or ADHD. Practical strategies to support the development of executive functioning skills and self-regulation will be shared.

The conference is geared to parents of children with ADHD, adults with ADHD and their families, educators and the medical community.

This experiential workshop is designed to give participants a better understanding of the different types of memory challenges (verbal, visual, and working memory). This workshop will look at the impact memory challenges have on everyday life for children and youth with LDs.
