This workshop will provide an introduction for parents on assistive technology including: Helping parents understand the learning struggles of many children with Learning Disabilities and why assistive technology is important in supporting these struggles; what parents might see on their child’s IEP regarding assistive technology; what kinds of software programs can assist children with Learning Disabilities; and how parents can advocate and assist their child while maintaining their child’s independence in using their assistive technology devices.
